Purpose of RDF Shredding
- RDF Shredder is a valuable secondary fuel produced from various waste materials. These materials include commercial waste, household waste, production rejects, paper, wood residues, and more.
- The goal of RDF shredding is to process waste efficiently, extract valuable components, and create a high-calorific alternative fuel suitable for energy generation.
Shredding Process
RDF shredders operate with high torque and low speed to effectively break down waste.
There are two main stages:
- Coarse Shredding (Pre-Shredding): In this step, the RDF shredder splits open waste bags and destroys the exterior of the waste. Most of the waste is downsized to approximately 100mm by 100mm (4 inches by 4 inches).
- Secondary Shredding: After pre-shredding, a secondary shredder further reduces the waste to smaller particles suitable for RDF production.
